State of Palestine

[Germany does not recognize a Palestinian state. The official term used by Germany is Palestinian Territories (Palästinensische Gebiete). The UN however does recognize a Palestinian state (the State of Palestine) as a non-member observer state and as state party to different UN conventions. In addition, the State of Palestine is a member state of the International Criminal Court. For these reasons, we have chosen to use the term Palestine for this project when referring to the State of Palestine/the Palestinian Territories.]
